Tredennick presents at the NYSBA CLE on Using AI for Litigation and Investigations

Merlin CEO and Founder John Tredennick led a CLE program on using AI for Litigation and Investigations to the New York State Bar. He was joined by Program Leader Emilee Sahli of Sahli Law, Jerome Greco, the Digital Forensics Supervising Attorney for the Legal Aid Society in New York and Hon. Ronald J. Hedges (Ret.), former United States Magistrate Judge for the District of New Jersey and now Senior Counsel at Dentons US.

The program was part of a two-part series called Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and explored how legal professionals are using machine learning and other forms of artificial intelligence to improve legal processes and make the delivery of legal services more efficient and effective. Here is the program description:

“What is AI and what should lawyers know about it? Join Ron Hedges, Jerome Greco, and Emilee Sahli for this first session in a two-part series introducing artificial intelligence in litigation. They will discuss what AI is, instances where AI may be evidence in your case, and the admissibility of AI as evidence. They will explore emerging case law and review how Courts have begun to address issues with admitting this type of evidence.”

The program was delivered on September 7, 2022 and is available here:  https://nysba.org/events/intro-to-artificial-intelligence-ai-part-2-ai-as-a-litigation-tool/

It was sponsored by the New York State Bar Association Committees on Technology and the Legal Profession and the Committee on Continuing Legal Education.
